The City of Brea Art Gallery is producing an exhibition entitled “For Love or Money” featuring artwork from artists who work by day work as hired hands for design companies, advertising agencies, etc., yet by night exercise personal creative outlets.
“For Love or Money” will showcase work from both aspects of the artist’s career, with examples of personal art contrasted with their “for the money” work.
We are seeking submission from interested artists to be reviewed for inclusion. There is no entry fee; submissions will be judged by the merit of the work alone.
Entry Deadline : July 15, 2009
Exhibition Dates : August 1 – September 11

BERLIN.- The new art project on the Berlin Underground, U10 – from here to the imaginary and back again, sets a focus on the social and collaborative dimension of public art.
Artists or collaborative groups of artists and non-artists are invited to take part in this call for submissions. Preference will be given to artists who see their work as a means of exchange and shared dialogue and who are interested in reaching new audiences. This may include a readiness to collaborate with, for example, groups of BVG staff or passengers who have little experience of contemporary art. The organisers cannot take part in the call themselves. The U10 project will run for a maximum of 3 years.
A "Mobile Cimena" festival will praise super short films shot with the help of cell phones and video cameras. Films must be uploaded by June 15.
The second annual mobile cinema festival, being organized by Mobile TeleSystem, Universal Pictures Rus and the Russian Union of Cinematographers, aims to foster innovations in film production that help unleash creative potential. Participants will have the chance to present their works to professionals and to the wider public.
Films should be self-contained stories on any theme that last up to five minutes. They must be uploaded at the festival portal, www.mms.mts.ru/fmk. After online voting, five winners in each of four categories will be put on a shortlist and will be considered by a professional jury.
