The List Visual Arts Center, MIT's contemporary art museum, enjoys a

Preconditions
Short videos on climate change are eligible to enter a new contest.
Sponsored by Climate Change TV, the contest seeks the best videos on the topic under three minutes. Climate Change TV launched to contest to to build a bridge between the United Nations negotiations and civil society, tapping into the concerns and interests of the wider public consciousness.
All contributions should relate to climate change and must have been produced after the Cancun Climate Change Conference held in December, 2010.
Videos can be submitted in any language but English subtitles are requested.
The general public will decide the winner; the prize is US$5,000.

Photojournalists looking to pursue projects of personal and journalistic significance can apply for a grant.
The Grants for Editorial Photography, sponsored by Getty Images, support compelling social, political and cultural stories. Grants of US$20,000 each will be given to five photojournalists.
This year's judges include photojournalist, Tom Stoddart and Jon Jones, director of photography for The Sunday Times Magazine. Both professional and student photojournalists are encouraged to apply.

The First Impressions Photo Contest, sponsored by Digital Photo Pro, gives photographers the opportunity to submit five of their best photos for evaluation.
The grand prize winning photographer will receive US$1,000, new equipment and the opportunity to have his or her photo featured in an upcoming issue of Digital Photo Pro. There are also additional prizes available for first place.

Organization Overview
Windward School, an independent college preparatory school for grades
7-12 in West Los Angeles, invites artists to submit resumes for our
artist-in-residence program, The Installation Project. The residency
gives artists an opportunity to work with highly motivated students,
and it gives the community an opportunity to watch and engage with
artists as they create their work. We are currently seeking proposals
for the 2011-12 school year.
The work may be done by any variety of means and result in any variety
of forms, so long as it provides opportunity for the community to
actively engage in the artistic process. Artists specifically working
in installations, new genres, new media and contemporary practices are
encouraged to apply.
