The Seventh Annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) seeks
narrative, documentary, music videos, experimental, children's and
animated films of any length and format.
IFFLA will run from April 21-26, 2009 at ArcLight Hollywood, a
state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of Los Angeles. Jury
and Audience Choice Prizes will be awarded for Best Feature,
Documentary and Short film.
IFFLA 2008 had over 7,000 attendees and screened about 40 films from
India and around the world. In addition to the high-quality
presentation of their work, filmmakers in attendance gained access,
through the festival, to an eclectic mix of professionals from the Los
Angeles film industry.
Films previously premiered at the festival include AMAL (Richie
INSTRUCTORS FOR AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS: MUSICAL THEATER, SINGING/VOICE, DANCE and GUITAR
$30 per hour to work with kids after school.
Part time 1 hour per day.
2-5 days per week.
Experienced in any:
• Musical Theater
• Voice/Singing
• Ballet/Jazz Dance
• Acoustic Guitar
Qualifications:
Seeking individuals experienced in the arts who are creative,
enthusiastic, caring motivated, responsible, and most of all, who love
to work with children. You must have formal training in your art
-formal training may include any college credits currently earned
towards a degree in the arts and/or an advanced level of training in
private studios. You must have prior experience teaching children
(references required) and have a reliable car. A teaching credential
is NOT needed.

Pentacle Announces the Inauguration of Help Desk/L.A.
Pentacle brings a new initiative to the Los Angeles area dance and
performance art communities-Help Desk/L.A. Pentacle (www.pentacle.org)
created Help Desk in 1998 responding to the increasing business,
organizational and professional pressures felt by emerging and mid-career
creators of dance and performance art. Help Desk/L.A.'s mission is to work
with artists in delineating and supporting their professional systems;
allowing them to maintain a stable professional base, and thus securely
nurture their creative processes.
Help Desk/L.A. will serve the managerial and administrative needs of
performing artists and companies who do not have full or even part time

The Lula Washington Dance Theatre is interviewing potential ballet teachers who can work with inner city children and young adults, mainly African American from South Los Angeles. Teachers must be comfortable working in an inner city environment and must be able to motivate, inspire, and prepare kids from South Los Angeles to be professional concert dancers.

The Wassaic Project, an annual arts and music festival held in Wassaic New
