"Spring, Love, Life" Competition and Exhibition

GREENSWIRLweb

We are pleased to announce our new competition/exhibition "Spring, Love, Life".
This theme reflects three constant yet ever-changing elements of our universe which have always inspired artists, poets, and musicians to create their best works.
We invite artists to present their interpretations of these cosmic energies - new beginnings, attraction and blossoming.

* All accepted artists will participate in the brick and mortar exhibitions in one of our California locations:
Assi Art Gallery in Los Angeles (http://assisuperla.com/culture/assi), Phantom Gallery in Long Beach (http://www.phantomgalleriesla.com/)
and Artistic Voyage in Yorba Linda (http://www.artisticvoyage.org/).

SIRENS 2012: Call for contributions (The Netherlands)

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

SIRENS 2012 is the code name for a project based in the sound of the
Dutch civil defense sirens system. This system consists in around 4200
sirens placed all across the country and tested regularly, resonating
in unison exactly at 12:00 (midday) every first Monday of the month.

Listen to one of those events, recorded at Bezuidenhout in The Hague,
Nov 2009: http://bit.ly/fog6N4

The first step is to gather recordings of the monthly sirens tests
through this open call, so I would like to ask you to contribute with
recordings of any of the 12 tests that will happen throughout 2011.
