Call for Curators

The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) Percent
for Public Art Program is seeking professional curators interested in
creating permanent exhibitions at newly constructed LAPD facilities
located throughout Los Angeles. The DCA, through this partnership with
the LAPD, is interested in creating interior and exterior arts
corridors at approximately eight LAPD facilities in order to transform
daily encounters into opportunities to educate, engage, and impact
LAPD staff and the visiting public via site-specific, curated
exhibitions featuring work by Los Angeles-based artists. The LAPD's
newly-constructed, architecturally-distinct facilities are unique
landmarks in the City; architectural features among the facilities
vary, including glass facades, atria, patios, waiting areas, high
ceilings, and landscaped areas, all incorporating a variety of
materials and textures ideal for the exhibition of artwork.
