E-COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
Los Angeles County Arts Commission
The Los Angeles County Arts Commission seeks a full-time E-Communications Coordinator to support the marketing and public relations of the Arts Commission as a whole, as well as all Commission programs including Arts Education, Civic Art, Grants & Professional Development and Productions (encompassing Ford Theatres, Holiday Celebration and Free Concerts). Electronic communications have assumed a significantly larger role in the past two years with the Arts Commission's entry into the new media universe. The Arts Commission is now active on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr and continues to hone its Web sites and other e-communications tools as an integral part of its communications strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inglewood Cultural Arts (ICA), a dynamic, nonprofit
multidisciplinary arts organization, is seeking resumes and brief bios for an
Interim Executive Director. Our current ED will be taking maternity leave in
mid-March 2012. This position is currently unpaid but we are in the process of
seeking funding. Time commitment of approximately 20 hours per week and the
majority of the work will be done from your home or office.
The mission of
Inglewood Cultural Arts is to enhance the quality of life in Inglewood and
surrounding areas, by providing diverse cultural arts programs.
ICA has been at the forefront of arts education programs and
artist community advocacy and development since its inception in 1998.
Currently, Inglewood has a burgeoning art scene as the underground art
REDCAT is seeking original performance works for the next edition of Studio, REDCAT's quarterly series of new works in progress in dance, theater, multimedia and music.

cultureID, which I have co-founded with Deb King, is working with BITAHR (The Boston Initiative to Advance Human Rights) on a multi-faceted
event to bring awareness to modern day slavery.
We are reaching out to artists to contribute art measuring 4" x 6" to be sold to underwrite the event. All info is below. Please pass onto your communities.
The Boston Initiative to Advance Human Rights (BITAHR) and cultureID invites artists to donate a 4" x 6" original artwork for the Postcards for Humanity exhibition and benefit sale. Painting, drawing, photography, printmaking and mixed media are all welcome.
The Byrdcliffe Artist in Residence Program provides uninterrupted time, creative space and an inspiring environment to artists of exceptional talent. Month long residencies are available to visual artists, composers, playwrights/screenwriters, and writers of fiction, nonfiction and poetry in the months of June, July, August, and September. It is Byrdcliffe's mission to provide solitude in a creative community and uninterrupted time in which to concentrate on producing independent and enduring creative work alongside fellow artists.
Opened in 1903, the Byrdcliffe Art Colony was placed on the National Register of Historic Sites in 1979 for its architectural and historical significance. It is located in the Catskill Mountains, 1.5 miles from the center of Woodstock, New York.

FF Alumni Katya Grokhovsky has been awarded a free space in Queens by CHASHAMA for her Project
"The Art School" and seeks Artists to be Involved!
Proposed Dates 25th January-11 March 2012.
Here is how it works: Artists are asked to teach classes/give workshops or lectures, talks, screenings to the public etc in exchange for a FREE studio space and participation in at least three public events.
Please contact me ASAP with your expression of interest.
The space is raw, you will have to use your own materials for your work, studio and classes.
I will provide the space, supervision, organization and promotion through my own resources and through CHASHAMA.

The Unsolicited Proposal Program is an opportunity for anyone from anywhere to submit their idea for an exhibition to be mounted at apexart in the 2012-2013 season. apexart provides funding, administrative support, and a brochure that is sent to over 100 countries around the world.
For the 15th year, apexart is accepting submissions for exhibition ideas where the winners will receive the funding and administrative support from apexart to mount a show in our Manhattan space.
