Organization Overview
The Levitt Pavilion Pasadena (“LPP†) is a non-profit organization founded
in 2003 to offer 50 free concerts each summer in historic Memorial Park in
the City of Pasadena. LPP is committed to serving the local community,
celebrating its diversity, inspiring its youth through music, and enriching
cultural lives of its residents through its annual summer concert series.
In 2003, the Memorial Park band shell was refurbished from grant monies and
donations provided to the City of Pasadena. It was transformed into the
Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts. Thanks to the efforts of its
dedicated staff and artistic director, the Levitt has since become one of
INSTALL: WeHo is an interactive exhibition, to be held September 16, 2012, showcasing the curated work of LGBTQ-minded artists in the Greater Los Angeles Community. With the support of the City of West Hollywood, ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives, and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, this pop-up installation will serve as a forum to bring both established and emerging LGBTQ artists and contributors together. INSTALL: WeHo is an opportunity to share the story, struggles and spirits of the LGBTQ community through a diverse array of mediums and forms.
Rogue Artists Ensemble announces auditions for the role of STILLWATER in the upcoming remount of their original play for young audiences, Zen Shorts, based on a series of books by Jon J Muth. Zen Shorts premiered this past February at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts and is the newest addition to Rogue Artists Ensemble's series of theater for young audiences. The Rogues' other play for young audiences, Frog Belly Rat Bone, performs regularly in venues throughout California and has toured nationally.
Auditions will be held on Saturday August 4th, 2012 by appointment only.

This course will introduce you to various methods of creating woodcut and linocut prints. This direct and versatile process is one of the oldest methods of printing. Learn how to prepare wood and linoleum blocks, carve images by hand, apply ink with rollers, and print by hand and on the press using oil based inks. Also covered will be methods for creating images with multiple blocks and colors, reduction printing, and alternative techniques.
