The Vagrancy, a Los Angeles based critically acclaimed and award-winning
theatre company, is seeking an Apprentice Artistic Director for its
2016-2017 Season.

The Vagrancy creates visceral work that seeks to touch the human spirit by
forging new, lesser-known, and classical works with that ineffable
something. Duende. This season The Vagrancy is producing Shakespeare’s
*Macbeth* in October 2016 and the World Premiere of Vagrancy Writer Cort
Brinkerhoff’s *Horse* in June 2017.

Contemporary Art Gallery Online announces their 4th Annual International “Figurative / Portrait” Online Art Competition for the month of April 2016. Contemporary Art Gallery Online encourages entries from all 2D and 3D artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of all entrants will be held online at Contemporary Art Gallery Online during the month of May 2016. Awards will be given for the top 5 chosen winners in the Paintings, Photography/Digital Art and Mixed Media Categories. In addition to the winning images, depending on the amount and the quality of the entries received, Honorable Recognition awards will also be presented. This competition closes April 30, 2016. CROSS International Performance Award - II edition

The second edition of CROSS International Performance Award aims to promote research and artistic expression related to the combination of different styles and genres, considering multi-language practices and the mix of techniques and codes pertaining to the various performing arts.

Stephen Glassman Studios, in collaboration with Urban Voices Project, is
creating a "voice installation" on Skid Row in Los Angeles. Urban Echoes is
a civic voice installation, an art action, a happening, that raises human
voices in song from skid row, to echo throughout the cityscape. Music of the
spirit will be sung by an assembled volunteer choir - first on the street,
then from windows, and finally from the rooftops at golden hour.

The installation will be on Sunday, April 17, with a rehearsal for singers
at 4:00 PM to learn the three compositions to be presented, followed by the
installation starting at 5:30 pm. If you wish to participate, but need to
leave after the street portion, it should be finished by 6:00 PM. You may

*POSITION DESCRIPTION: LEAD PHOTOGRAPHER*

Venice Arts seeks a photographer to work on a part-time basis as a teaching
artist (Lead Photographer). Working under the direct supervision of the
Director of Education, the Lead Photographer has the following, primary
responsibilities:

· Teach 4 photography workshops each academic cycle and one in summer

· Develop age-appropriate, standards-based syllabi for each class
that supports Venice Arts’ curricular goals

· Interview, place, support, and retain volunteer artist-mentors
placed in workshops (generally three per class)

· Assure the weekly, effective management of all art and media
produced by students, using Venice Arts existing protocols
