This, my first Blog entry here at AMP is long overdue.
Waiting until I have time is out of the question, so I'm just going to write as long as I can get away with it.
I have some recent news to report with other Amp members. A couple of weekends ago I attended an opening that my old pal and fellow comics artist (as well as madman dollmaker and filmmaker) Marcel deJure held for an exhibition of his dolls and art. I brought some friends with me that I hadn't seen in a while...Nelson, Lil and Randall. Nelson had a hankering for some of the art but wanted it even for cheaper that it was going for (which was already a steal) and I think Marcel did the right thing to hold his ground.
Rev Mo was the DJ for the opening and so I got to catch up with my old Onyx pal (we used to work the Tuesday lunch shift together). As the party broke up, I walked him to his car we swapped our various war stories of life and death.
All in all Marcel's show was a great party and a lot of fun. If you reside in Los Angeles then go by while the work is still up and check it out for yourself.

My dear old friend (as well as the wife of my oldest best friend in the world) is now plugged in to AMP. If you don't know Zeppo yet, you will because you should. She's whip smart, mad-funny and is a writer/artist...story-teller of the tallest order.

Oh, and Paul (her hubby) is now on AMP as well. He figures prominently in what will be my first effort in self-publishing (if all goes well) in a month or so.

News will appear as it unfolds...
I am hard at work these days on a Concept Art/Storyboarding job for a film director that I have wanted to collaborate with for years. The drawings I am doing are for a horror film that he is pitching, and while sleep may be a thing of the past I am having a blast making the work.

So happy to hear it!
I think it's great your work is coming to publishing fruition. If you should need help promoting it, I'm happy to give you space in my publication.
Cheers,
Laurie

wish I were there!
Darn it, I wish I had gone to that event. I had planned to, but then wasn't able to. I'm starting to meet more of you. This is really fun...

It IS cool...
I was on Amp one day, and saw that among the other users online was Marcel. I shot him an e-mail and had his reply in seconds...flash forward to a month or so later and I was at his opening before you know it. I love it! Thanks Terri. I hope to meet you one o' these days.
