this be my first blog on AMP. I will try to post with some regularity...

Anyway, the bog story for us right now is our search....for a booking agent!

I wrote a little letter, which I will be sending to prospective agents. If anyone knows how to improve the letter (or knows any agents....!) feel free to comment or contact me. Thanks in advance for your interest.

Greetings!
My name is Neil Alexander, and I am the leader of Neil Alexander & NAIL, a cutting edge musical group playing a crossover of jazz/funk/jamband/ambient. We are seeking representation. Our goal is an international touring schedule. After defining our sound, releasing a new record and establishing ourselves on the local scene, we are seeking a young, determined booking agent who is ready to go the distance. I am certain that with the right representation we could be the next Medeski Martin & Wood, Bela Fleck or Pat Metheny Group. I will stop at nothing to accomplish this. Our new CD “Tugging At The Infinite” is a musical tour de force, filled with virtuoso performances, cutting edge technology, and most importantly – ear catching infectious melodies.
Collectively, we have 70 years in the biz. I personally have 13 years hard touring experience. In addition to bandleader I have worked as a tech and a tour manager, and can easily manage the “nuts and bolts” of a touring operation.
We are not one of the many "kids" bands out there today - we are seasoned professional musicians who know how to put on an exciting engaging performance, and who will work hard and will do whatever it takes to bring this group to the highest level possible.
We bring to the table our experience, our professionalism, our music, our enthusiasm – in short, a finished product ready to be presented. There is enormous potential here. I am looking for the person who is ready to step up to the plate with us.
