AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

The Industry, LA's new home for new and experimental opera (www.TheIndustryLA.org), is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and positive-minded Managing Director to continue developing this promising new group.

The Industry launched in March 2011 and premiered its first full-scale production, CRESCENT CITY, last May. The LA Times called it "breathtaking and exuberant" and hailed The Industry as "industrious and groundbreaking;" Out West Arts raved, "CRESCENT CITY changes the face of music-theater in this town overnight. The right candidate would work closely with Artistic Director Yuval Sharon and Music Director Marc Lowenstein in continuing to develop the company and build its infrastructure. The job can be tailored to the right candidate but involves advancement, the business side of the company, and operations. Passion for the arts and experience in the performing arts is a must for any candidate, but direct experience in opera is not required.
