The 25th annual Brea Fest lights up the Brea Civic & Cultural Center on Friday, August 12 from 6:30 - 10 p.m. This community favorite is the City's original food fest that combines the arts with a feast of delicious food and beverages from over 35 outstanding restaurants.
This free family event draws thousands each year with great live bands, outdoor dancing, a gallery exhibit and artist demonstrations, along with theatre performances. The ever-popular "Kidsville" also returns with kid-pleasing food and entertainment, face painting and make-and-take crafts. Food and beverage samples are provided with taste tickets being sold for only $3 each.
The event inspires as it also helps to support the arts in Brea, such as Curtis Theatre productions, Brea Gallery exhibits, Concerts in the Park, and arts education programs.
Brea Fest is truly a community effort. More than 100 volunteers donate time and talent; participating restaurants and distributors donate their products as area businesses sponsor much of the entertainment. For more information about getting involved, please call (714) 990-7771.
