Cartoonists can enter an editorial cartoon competition.
The Global Editorial Cartoon Competition, sponsored by the Center for International Private Enterprise, invites entries that capture key issues affecting the development of the cartoonist's country. The three categories are: democracy, corruption and gender equality.
Judges include Pat Oliphant, a Pulitzer-Prize-winning political cartoonist, and Michael Duffy, the Assistant Managing Editor of TIME. The final winners will be selected through a public online voting process.
The competition is open to all ages and to both professional and amateur cartoonists. The first place winner in each category will receive US$1,000, and there are also cash prizes for second and third place.
Captions can be in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish but an English translation must be provided. For more information, click here: http://www.cipe.org/cartoon/index.html
