It is satisfying to sell a painting to someone who appreciates the beauty and effort in it. but how many paintings do YOU sell ? Enough to pay all the bills? nearly 25 years ago I was going back into the work force after my kids had got into school and I thought long and hard about WHAT I would do for a job. I had graduated from a wonderful Art school that focused on FINE art , not commercial, and gave only a certificate not a degree. I could have gone on to a college to get the degree but life pulled me in another direction. Consequently I seemed to only be qualified for a job that required me to perfect "Do you want fries with that?"
Instead I began teaching painting at a nursing home and ended up developing a special method of painting and teaching that made painting accessible to some people who NEVER could have painted before. I have taught people from 8-101 years old and some with severe disabilities.
NOW I teach 13-14 classes a week at a good wage and have to turn away clients.
SO I have now developed a training program for artists to learn this method and have their own business, Check out my website if you wish you could spend everyday using your art talents to make $$$ AND the added bonus is how rewarding it is teaching this under-served population. www.artis4every1.com
