The Taproot Foundation in partnership with MetLife Foundation, our Lead
ServiceGrant Sponsor for the Arts in 2010-2011, announces the
opportunity for high-potential performing arts organizations to receive
capacity building grants. Metlife Foundation sponsorship is restricted to
only performing arts organizations, which is why this makes this
an excellent opportunity for your organization to apply to one of our
many capacity building service grants.
Performing arts organizations who meet our basic eligibility criteria
have a strong chance to be selected for a capacity building grant which
ranges in value between $45,000 and $70,000. These Service Grant projects
provide a new set of tools for those organizations striving, now more
than ever, to do more with less.
In order to be eligible for the upcoming grant round, please apply by
September1st. If you have any questions about this Request for Proposal,
please do not hesitate to contact me at 213-625-7701 or via e-mail
atdmitry@taprootfoundation.org .
Warm Regards,

What is the Taproot Foundation?
The Taproot Foundation is the largest nonprofit consultancy in the United
States with offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and
Washington DC. Since our founding in 2001, we have provided more than $70
million in pro bono services to more than 1,100 nonprofits and currently
have over 3,500 pro bono consultants.
Non profit organizations have strong missions, but often lack resources to
achieve their goals. The Taproot Foundation exists to ensure all
nonprofits have the infrastructure they need to thrive. The Taproot
Foundation strengthens nonprofits by engaging business professionals in
pro bono service. You can learn more about us online at
www.taprootfoundation.org
What is a Service Grant?
Unlike traditional foundations that make cash grants, the Taproot
Foundation makes grants of high-quality, professional consulting
services, called Service Grants.
Each Service Grant is executed by a team of 5-6 professionals who
volunteer their time and expertise. These pro bono consultants each
donate about 100 hours to the nonprofit organization over the course of a
6-month project. Unlike a lot of pro bono work, the Taproot
Foundation's model ensures high-quality services,customized to meet
specific objectives.
Through our Service Grants, we are working to provide high-potential
non profit organizations with the tools and services necessary to maximize
the impact of their critical work in the community. We believe that the
right capacity-building Service Grant, at the right time, can greatly
enhance the ability of an organization to serve its constituents.
What can the Taproot Foundation offer you?
