Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its July 2011 art exhibition is now posted on their website and ready to view. The theme for the Light Space & Time art exhibition is “Abstracts”.

The gallery received submissions from 16 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 30 different states. Overall, there were 590 entries that were judged. Congratulations to the following artists who have been designated as this month’s winners. Due to the high volume and the overall quality of the entries, 60 Special Recognition awards were also designated.

KEYHOLDER RESIDENCY PROGRAM

The Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. Residencies are one year long, starting on October 1, 2011, and take place in the Printshop’s shared Artists’ Studio. Facilities are available for intaglio, relief, monoprint, waterbased silkscreen, digital processes, and other techniques that employ the tools at hand.

As always, I am looking for submissions of stories, poems, artwork, and photography. I'm proud to say that my little "penny dreadful" publication has become an internationally recognized magazine going on its 7th year. Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces an "Open" art competition for the month of July 2011. A Group exhibition of the top five finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Art Gallery for the month of August 2011. The theme is Open, you decide, so send us your best art now!

Awards will be for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, honorable mention and special recognition . All winners will be selected, announced and featured on the Light Space & Time website on August 1, 2011. Thereafter, the artworks will remain online in the Light Space & Time Archives with links to the artist’s websites.

A retrospective of the works of the world- known performance artist Frank Moore has just been launched on VIMEO. Although Moore started doing art in the late sixties, this retrospective covers his performance, video, and music works from the late seventies to the present, giving an overview of this controversial artist.
