AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

I had to have some downtime (healthwise) and now I am back and still 'getting there'. And I have come back to find my system being 'icky', trouble with emails etc. (I suppose that is what one gets with running on a shoestring).

Well, it has been the mildest winter here since....well, er....the last warmest winter on record.

The line-up for the 2007 Norfolk and Norwich Festival is now announced. The Festival is launced on Friday, March 1st. Included in the line-up are circus, opera, jazz, comedy, and drama, etc. Check out the Website at www.nnfestival.org.uk

I am really looking forward to Saturday, March 10th - as I have been invited to see Joan Armatradin performing at the Theatre Royal here in Norwich.

Let me introduce myself. I'm Jenni. I grew up in good ol' Orange County. I took my first ceramics class when I was in high school. And that actually marks the day I fell in love. With clay that is. I attended a community college first...no it wasn't because I didn't do well in high school, but because I knew I wasn't ready to be on my own away from home just yet. It was the best decision I've ever made. Anywho...I continued to take ceramic courses at this school, and when I transferred to UCLA I had a tough decision to make mostly due to the fact that their art department and liberal arts department was/is completely seperated. Instead I majored in my other love, Sociology, and recieved my BA in 2005.

I'm new to the site so I thought I would tell you a little about myself. I enjoy painting, writing and anything creative.

I see you watchin'...
Avoiding the fire of attractions I pause in thought to dance a little more and buy myself some time...
Time elapses and bodies part to corners of the plot, where buffers exist.
The drum beat pulls me back.
The dancing engulfs my mood.
Like a Lioness on prey you pounce and grab my vibrationz.
The smell is overwhelming...
The moves are synchronized...
Lyrics asking me "Don't you wish your girlfriend was a...like me? Don't you?"
The outside air calls our names to break from the crowd.
Reality settles into my heart and mind.
I'll take your email, but I can't spend the night planting seeds of another galaxy.
