The Award was conceived by two seminal Los Angeles modernist painters—Lorser and Helen Lundeberg Feitelson—and friends to encourage young artists early in their careers by awarding grants to support their creative potential. The Award is offered with the generous support of the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery Associates (LAMAGA) in partnership with the Feitelson Foundation.

Call To Artists for February 2011 - Celebration of Black History Month (LA area)

The Altadena Library District is seeking artists of all mediums to
display artwork in our Community Room for February 2011. All experience
levels are welcome and all forms of work with the exception of
sculpture.

We are looking for material that is educational and we are open to
including written word, poems, etc.

This will be a group exhibit; a total of 5 artists will be chosen. We
use a track/rod hanging system and each artist will be provided with (4)
rods. The rods can hold (4) 5x7's, (3) 8x10, (2) 11x14, or (1) large
image. Note: these are frame sizes.

Before submitting you must be able to comply with the following:

* Be available for the Hanging (sometime between 1/28 – 2/3)
* Participate in an Opening Reception Saturday February 5th,
5-7pm
