Authentic Self is part of my Body Series; abstract, mixed media figures. The convex forms symbolize the embodiment of a current self, feeling or event awaiting the metamorphosis to another level. Concave symbolizes the remnants of a former self, feeling or event that has changed and moved on, leaving behind a shell of memories.
