Dear friends of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich!

It's that time again! As of today, the call for submissions for the H13 Niederoesterreich Prize for Performance, which will be awarded for the 15th time this year, is open.

Unbelievable but true: The H13 is still the only award for performance art in Austria. The prize money was increased to € 5.000,- last year.

Performance, as an artistic medium, no matter how multifaceted it is in terms of staging and content, has a strong tradition in Austrian art and has received vivid art historical attention in recent years. With the H13 award, an emphasis is put on the performative works of the younger generation.
The award-winning performance will be shown at Kunstraum Niederoesterreich on 02 09 2021. Therefore, it is important that the spatial conditions of Kunstraum are considered in the submission - the realization of the performance will be additionally supported with € 2.000,- for this purpose.
Applications can only be submitted online until 20 04 2021. The decision will be made by a jury consisting of Madeleine Amsler (curator, lecturer & coordinator of the Swiss Performance Art Award), Kira Kirsch (artistic and managing director of brut Wien), Petra Poelzl (artistic and managing director of Kunstpavillon & Neue Galerie, Innsbruck) and of course Katharina Brandl, artistic director of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich.

We are looking forward to your applications!
