Education & Outreach at The Broad Stage is a place for educators,
artists, and students to play and learn together. Our goal is to give
each student access to world-class artists and performances that will
transform and expand their understanding of the world. We're proud
to be working with educators and community leaders to offer intimate and
inspiring cultural experiences of the highest caliber across a range of
artistic disciplines including dance, theater, music, and film. All
Education and Outreach activities are offered for free or low cost and
engage over 10,000 learners of all ages annually.

Position Summary
The Production Assistant in the Education and Outreach Department is
responsible for supporting The Broad Stage's Education and Outreach
Department goals, with a primary focus of assisting in the
implementation of Student Matinees.

Location
Santa Monica, California

Primary Responsibilities

* Provides assistance to the Education and Outreach Department.
* Responding to general inquiries on the Education and Outreach
programs while exhibiting exceptional phone, email, and in person
etiquette.
* Sending out clear written communication regarding Student Matinee
logistics.
* Preparing materials for Student Matinees and Outreach events.
* Processing invoices and payments for independent contractors and
bus companies.
* Various research projects for Education and Outreach programming.
* Data tracking and entry for all department programs.
* Office maintenance and filing.
Secondary Responsibilities

* Ensures all printed materials are proofed and well written.
* Employ good work habits including but not limited to being on time,
following Madison Project at The Broad Stage workplace policies,
arriving prepared for meetings and events, being responsive and
following through on all supervisor requests.
* Exhibits a positive attitude in relation with artists, teachers,
administrators and fellow staff.
* Works as a team member with the entire Madison Project at The Broad
Stage Staff.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: knowledge and essential skills

* Arts education, education, administration, or project/production
management experience.
* Outstanding interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.
* Experience with various computer programs including Microsoft Word,
Excel, and Outlook.
* Learns new technologies and software thoroughly and quickly.
* Demonstrated ability to work well with people of diverse
backgrounds.
Minimum Requirements: Essential functions and abilities

* Enthusiasm, dedication, a sense of humor and a drive to succeed.
* Ability to work flexible hours and increased hours as needed.
* Must be able to effectively and efficiently operate office
equipment including telephones,
* copiers, fax machines, computers, etc.
Compensation
This is a part time, entry-level position and wages are paid hourly, at
16-24 hours a week. This position has the potential to become full time.
