[JOB] Producer for KUSC radio's show "Arts Alive"

The University of Southern California (USC) seeks an experienced Arts
Producer to advocate for the arts in Southern California by producing a
weekly on-air arts magazine program and multimedia content to be
distributed online. The producer will nurture existing and new
relationships between Classical KUSC Radio and area arts organizations
and work with KUSC staff to refresh KUSC's arts coverage strategy. The
goal is to:

- Increase public awareness of, attendance at, and appreciation for the
variety of cultural offerings and assets available in Los Angeles and
the surrounding area
- Increase exposure for small and medium sized arts organizations in
addition to the major institutions
- Give listeners a context for understanding specific arts and cultural
events as well as broader themes, trends and news developments in the
arts in Southern California

Responsibilities:
- Work with KUSC staff and reporters to produce a weekly arts magazine
and online content to advocate for the arts in Los Angeles and the
surrounding area
- Conduct interviews with a range of artists, musicians and arts
administrators
- Nurture existing relationships between KUSC and area arts and cultural
organizations and develop new relationships
- Act as managing editor of the monthly Classical KUSC Members Guide
- Assist with additional station production as needed
