Description:
Art Instructor for children between the ages of five thru seventeen years of age. Classes are taught mornings, after school hours and/or Saturdays. The ability to teach and manage a classroom of fifteen or more students is a must. Prepare and submit lesson plans based on the CA standards for visual. Establish a climate of acceptance that supports and respects gender, each child's individual personality, physical characteristics and traits, culture, language and ethnic characteristics, family structure and developmental needs and behaviors. Ensures children are supervised at all times to ensure their safety and prevent accidents. Responds to students `diverse needs by using a variety of instructional strategies and resources. Ensures the classroom and all equipment is maintained in a clean and safe condition.

Qualifications:
Must be Fluent Spanish-speaking and have experience teaching art to children ages five to seventeen. Demonstrate skills in painting, print making, sculpture, mixed-media, and digital arts. The preferred candidate is outgoing, able to absorb change, resourceful with materials, creative, flexible personality and technologically competent. Open availability and flexible regarding traveling to other sites is preferred.
