Brighton Photo Fringe is seeking a new Director – this role is an exciting opportunity to lead an innovative organisation into its fifth biennial festival, and take it to the next stage of its development.

Brighton Photo Fringe (BPF) is a vibrant organisation that supports and develops photographers, lens-based artists and a wide public audience. Every two years BPF designs and delivers a city-wide festival of exhibitions and events that attracts local, national and international participants, partners and audiences. It is fundamental to BPF that our activities are inclusive and accessible to all.

BPF creates exhibition platforms, participative projects, open submission opportunities and awards that have a pivotal impact on participants. BPF provides an ongoing programme of professional development opportunities for photographers and lens-based artists at all levels, including essential entry- point support to encourage participation by members of the community who might otherwise be excluded.

BPF aims to increase participation and audiences from underrepresented communities through a strategic approach, targeted projects and community-based partnerships. BPF aims to increase access to photography as a tool for expression and to develop exhibition platforms that promote diversity and excellence for all.

The Director is responsible for all aspects of BPF's operation and delivery, answerable to the BPF management board.

This post is advertised as a one-year fixed term contract with the opportunity to continue into a further interim and festival phase, depending on fundraising success.
BPF is a not for profit organisation.

The post is advertised at a pay scale of between, £28,000 - £32,000, depending on experience (full-time).
