Create Now! is an independent, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1996. We change troubled kids' lives through creative arts mentoring, resources and opportunities. The organization serves high-risk and at-risk children and youth who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, orphaned, are homeless, runaways, foster children, teen parents, victims of domestic violence, substance abusers, gang members or incarcerated. We're currently writing grant proposals to hire a full-time Program Director. Funding will hopefully be in place early next year. The salary is $ 35,000 plus benefits.

The Program Director will plan, implement, promote and evaluate all of our programs.
Responsibilities include recruiting and training volunteers, matching mentors with high- risk youth, planning opportunities and providing resources. The job includes some traveling to these facilities throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernadino and Kern Counties. You'll need to work some evenings and weekends.

Required: at least 3 years experience in Program Coordination and computer skills. You must have knowledge of the social services system and excellent communication skills. You must live in or near Los Angeles and be familiar with the geography of Southern California. The ideal candidate will be bilingual or fluent in Spanish. Also, a BA in a related field and an arts background is preferred.
