The Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art (LAAFA) is currently looking to hire a highly motivated Part-time Admissions Director. The qualified candidate will work with a talented team of individuals in a creative environment where they will have the opportunity to make their mark in the world of art education.
LAAFA offers a full time, 3-year studio art program with a focus on a disciplined approach to representational painting. Within this framework, we offer a broad range of technical and conceptual approaches to the articulation of the perceived and the experienced. The mission of our school is to provide its students with both the technical and intellectual ability to address issues in the contemporary art world.
The faculty is comprised of exhibiting artists, working illustrators and visual development professionals as well as artists and art historians with an academic background.

Job Description:
• Directs the daily operations of the Admissions Office. Assists in policy planning and development on all admissions related matters.
• Establishes and implements short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness; effects changes that are required for improvement.
• Plans and develops strategies for admission and recruitment of students by developing a marketing plan to meet and/or exceed LAAFA's set enrollment goals on a regular basis.
• Provides and maintains reports and statistical information on recruitment and enrollment.
• Attracts and encourages qualified prospective students to inquire about LAAFA and become students.
• Provides a positive, professional impression for guests, students and staff.
• Assists all visitors and prospective students who contact the Admissions Office.
• Responsible for all aspects of student procurement from recruitment of inquiries through evaluation and acceptance of students into LAAFA.
• Maintains existing programs and develops new enrollment programs and procedures as they relate to the goals of the school.
• Be responsible for development, maintenance, and successful utilization of LAAFA's database of prospective students.
• Develops and maintains relationships with university, college and high school guidance personnel as well as other contacts that would lead to prospective students for LAAFA.
• Effectively and with enthusiasm communicates in person, in writing and over the phone with prospective students regarding the enrollment process, including information on LAAFA, financial aid, curriculum and life as a student at LAAFA.
• Using the customer relationship management function built into company database, documents all communication with the prospective students.
• Assists in planning and participates in recruiting and enrollment events as needed.
• Assists in the development of all recruiting collateral.
• Assist others in any other team projects, tasks, or duties deemed necessary and assigned.
