instant karma
Submitted by J.A. Spahr-Summers on June 8, 2009 - 10:47pm.So two weeks ago our computer crashed at work, it has taken this long to get a new one installed. While I was rather daunted (in my own unique paranoid way) by the idea of probably losing 8 months or one year's worth of art and manuscripts, Amy was strangely calm and cool and collected.
"We'll make more!" She said.
I have to admit, her attitude calmed me to a certain extent, but I continued to fret until last night. My boss (formerly our techie until it was out-sourced) managed to transfer everything (amounting to hundreds of images) to his computer. In a day or two I'll transfer everything to discs (like I told Amy I needed to do about three weeks ago).
All hail to Satan (my boss)!

unlikely considerations
So as you know, I have given notice as Art Director of Unlikely 2.0 in order to concentrate more on my book ventures. I anticipated the last mid-month art issue (linked above) to be the final one that I would orchestrate, however, Jonathan has asked me to stay on another month, thereby giving him more time to find a replacement. Of course, I have agreed to do so (how could I not) ... Jonathan has been very good to me! And while I am partly sad to be giving it up, I am excited about the extra time it will allow me to work on my stuff. An additional benefit is that I will be able to submit my own art there again the following month and thereafter... no conflict of interests anymore.
I'm Back!
Submitted by J.A. Spahr-Summers on February 4, 2009 - 11:26pm.Sorry folks;
I've been out of pocket lately. I just today finished moving into Denver.
I also totaled my car on Monday!
What a bitch!
Anyway, I'm back.
I'll try and catch up this week.
