Call for Writing Submissions: Las Vegas Book Festival (deadline May 1)

Call for Writing Submissions

First Draft Deadline is May 1st, 2009

Las Vegas fine art curator Michael Todoran will be
accepting essays whose subject can demonstrate a dynamic relationship
with the concept of layers for the 2009 Las Vegas Book festival. All
essays will be reviewed by a panel of writers (to be announced) and
the most appropriate works will be published in a book and ready for
display at the 2009 Las Vegas Book festival on November 5th, 2009.

A total of $1,000 in stipends is available to the top three entries.
First place shall receive $500 and the two runner ups shall each
receive a $250 dollar stipend.

The intention of Layers is to celebrate and display the writing works

and broadcast across the world by a Rochdale art group, to celebrate
its 25th birthday.

Peopleprint Community Media hopes the performance by Beatles tribute
band The Cheatles will set the world record for the largest online
birthday party.

The performance will be broadcast live online at 7pm on February 17
