One Festival – 3 Cities.

From October 2010 through January 2011, the Network of Ensemble Theaters
(NET) is hosting a triptych of "Micro-Festivals" across the
United States designed to build a national conversation around ensemble
theatermaking. Presented in partnership with the Literary Managers and
Dramaturgs of the Americas (LMDA), these 2 and half-day "Micro-Fests"
highlight ensemble performances and practices, each centering on a
specific theme.

Micro-Fest:LA will investigate how ensembles are creating new work.
Activities will be centered at the Atwater Village Theater in Los
Angeles, December 3-5, 2010.

Program Description
Artists/ artist teams and graphic designers will be commissioned to design street banners to be installed on light poles in targeted neighborhoods throughout Long Beach. Artist/ artist teams and/ or graphic designers may incorporate drawings, paintings, photographs, and/ or text to merge art, culture and the community.

BOSTON COURT PERFORMING ARTS CENTER SEEKS PERFORMERS FOR ITS 2011 ARTTALK

Performance proposals are now being accepted for the fourth annual ARTTalk. ARTTalk is scheduled to take place at Boston Court Performing Arts Center on Saturday, March 12th, 2011 from 11:00am until 5:00pm. Participants will be allotted one half hour to perform a piece that focuses on Words and Communication. All performances must be acoustical in nature. Boston Court will provide general lighting and no rehearsal time is allotted. Previous performance genres include film, storytelling, singing, and poetry. Participants will be provided a small stipend. The deadline for proposals is December 3, 2010.

Join thousands in LA for massive climate-art project, Nov. 21!

Greetings,

I work with 350.org, an international climate campaign with a flair for the dramatic. On 10/10/10 we coordinated over 7000 community-building, carbon-mitigating actions in 188 countries for our Global Work Party. Now, in the run up to the next round of UN negotiations which will be held in Cancun, Mexico beginning the weekend of Thanksgiving we are working to pull off an ambitious global art initiative.

We are really excited about an art event that will be happening in LA this Sunday, November 21.

Art Residency @ LFCSA: Free Studio Space, Volunteer-Based Program

Thank you for your interest in the Artist Residency Program at Los
Feliz Charter School For The Arts. The mission of our program is to
offer our students exposure to a wide variety of creative minds and
artistic media, and to encourage them to grow up feeling that Art is
simply part of "every day life" in their community: while also, of
course, providing a free studio space for talented artists. (Please
keep in mind that at this moment we are not able to offer financial
compensation for the Resident Artist. Prospective Artists are,
however, encouraged to procure their own grant funding if possible.)
