In 2012 Serial Space is introducing a brand new platform for the development and presentation of interdisciplinary and experimental art practices: Time Machine. Time Machine will be a week long festival of experimental, time-based art taking place at alternative spaces across Sydney during 16-29 July.

The Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics at New York University
is now accepting applications for its fourth year of EMERGENYC, the
Hemispheric New York Emerging Performers Program focused on “artivist”
(artist/activist) performance. EMERGENYC aims to support the development of
“hemispheric” artists through a program of workshops and events between
April 28 and July 14, 2012 (see “The Program” section below for details). We
seek talented, committed and highly motivated young
performers/activists/artists whose work functions as a vehicle for political
expression and social change, and who examine the broad range of identities,
The Printshop's classes for adults offer instruction in myriad printmaking techniques, traditional, as well as new and experimental. Our faculty is comprised of accomplished artists and experienced master printers with outstanding expertise in printmaking. They offer technical expertise, as well as creative advice for your new artwork. Our instructors will help you turn your ideas into quality prints. Our classes are appropriate for beginners who wish to discover the world of printmaking, as well as artists interested in exploring new techniques. Many of our courses can be repeated, as there is a great deal of one-on-one interaction with faculty.

Curator of Public Programs
The Kenneth A. Picerne Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2012 Artist Outreach Project! The Foundation will award up to 20 artists $12,000 each for a one-year grant to provide educational, mentoring, and/or therapeutic arts experiences for people of any age group who lack opportunities to engage in meaningful arts programs. For the application, artists are asked to outline a plan to provide arts programming for the underserved group they would like to serve at a nonprofit they intend to collaborate with. Visual, literary, and performing artists 55 years old and older who live in North San Diego County or Orange County are eligible to apply. The application deadline is March 30, 2012.

Triple Canopy announces its third annual call for proposals by artists and writers
Triple Canopy, the online publication and editorial collective based in New York, Los Angeles, and Berlin, is pleased to announce its third annual call for proposals. Commissions will be considered under six project areas and published in the course of the next year. Artistic, editorial, and technical staff will work closely with contributors as they develop the best approach to realizing their projects on the Web, from the conceptual phase to the design and technological production. Recipients receive:
• Three to six months of artistic, editorial, and technical support
• Honorarium of up to 300 USD as well as material costs
