ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Works under the supervision of the Head Preparator

* May aid Head Preparator with supervising teams of Temporary Preparators in executing projects

* Has the ability to read and build from architectural plans and drawings, and can communicate about them to others

* Does work related to the preparation, installation, lighting, and maintenance of permanent installations, and preparation and set up for special exhibitions and events as needed

* Builds and paints exhibition furniture

Kids love to draw and paint on pretty much every surface they can get their hands on. So why not let them make their very own paper to house their free flowing artistic talents?

In this fun and easy class, students will work together with the instructor Heather Bowling to make small batches of paper from recycles materials. The kids will get to see all of the steps involved in making paper and learn a lot of cool tricks to use when making paper in the future. Students will also get to practice making all on already made paper to see how it is different than paper bought in the store.

In this three dimensional mosaic class, students will create beautiful decorative planter using glass and ceramic tile for indoor or outdoor use. Base your pattern off your outdoor décor or create a unique piece to inspire a new spring hobby.

This introductory level course requires no previous artistic or mosaic experience. However all skills levels are welcome to explore and experience this amazing medium! Students are encouraged to bring images and other inspirations to use in their class.
