The 2010 Notice of Funding Availability has been released for the Culver City Performing Arts Grants Program. The application is available via the City's website at www.culvercity.org.
The deadline for submission is September 8, 2009. Performances may be presented by professionals or amateurs in the disciplines of theatre, musical theatre, music, opera, or dance. A workshop to assist organizations with the completion of the application will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in the Lethbridge Garden Room at Veterans Memorial Building located at 4117 Overland Avenue in Culver City. The workshop will begin at 7 PM.
AMERICAN MASTERPIECES: CHAMBER MUSIC

Deadline: October 8, 2009. Grants of up to $75,000 will be awarded to nonprofits, government agencies, and tribal communities working to provide the American public with performances of chamber music, traditional and indigenous music, and jazz. Projects must be accompanied by related educational, interpretive, or contextual components. These may include discussions, master classes, seminars, exhibitions, program material, or cooperative learning projects with educational or community institutions. Curriculum-based educational components for children and youth must ensure the application of national or state arts education standards.

Deadline: October 31, 2009. Applications for the 2010 Denali National Park Artist-in-Residence Program are now being accepted. The Artist-in-Residence Program at Denali National Park began in 2001, and offers artists the opportunity to pursue their work amidst the natural splendors of Denali Park in Alaska. The park currently provides the use of the historic East Fork Cabin for 10-day periods from June through August.
