Boston Court Performing Arts Center seeks local applicants for its 2010 "ARTTalk."

"ARTTalk" is scheduled to take place in the Marjorie Branson Performance Space at Boston Court March 20th from 11:00am until 5:00pm.

Participants will be allotted one half hour to perform a piece that focuses on Communication. All performances must be acoustical in nature. Boston Court will provide general lighting and no rehearsal time is allotted.

Previous performance genres include poetry, storytelling, singing, and theatrical performances. Participants will be provided a small stipend.

The only art fair to really attract new buyers as well as an existing collector base to browse amongst thousands of contemporary artworks priced between 100 - 8,000 SGD (USD 5,800).


The Affordable Art Fair Singapore will launch its inaugural edition in Suntec Singapore, Level 6 from 22 - 25 April 2010.

The Affordable Art Fair, which already takes place in London, Bristol, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels & New York with sister fairs in Sydney and Melbourne, has a proven track record of success. The fairs have attracted more than 650,000 visitors worldwide and sold in excess of 100 million GBP worth of art since its first event in 1999. 
 


The Brea Art Gallery is now calling for entries through January 25, 2010 to present next year's Made In California exhibit. This very popular show will be the 25th annual juried exhibition and will run from March 27 – May 7, 2010. The prospectus is available online or at the Brea Art Gallery.

The City of Santa Monica, Cultural Affairs Division, seeks applications for the second 10-week Artist Residency to take place at the Annenberg Community Beach House. For this Residency, interested choreographers are asked to propose site-specific works for the Beach House. Applications are due January 25th. The Resident will have use of a large private office in the historic Marion Davies Guest House from February 22 through May 3. Painting is my passion. I have always loved painting since I was very young. I think the process of art creation helps my inner perception grows. When I paint, I use colors freely, both in a traditional and innovative ways. Usually when I paint, I get a feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction during the process and at the end I want to transmit that same feeling to whoever is looking at my painting.
