In 2008, the U-TURN contemporary art festival was held with support from the Danish Arts Council. Now the Danish Arts Council would like to establish a recurring contemporary art festival that will become a major event in the Danish art world. The festival is intended to create international attention, to stimulate the Danish contemporary arts scene, and to promote interest in contemporary art with the public at large.

Theme and geographical location
The festival should focus on how contemporary art works with topics that range from the political to the existential. The festival must be able to communicate this to the public at large and, therefore, must be visible and accessible to large, new segments of the potential audience.

CORE 6: Defining Ourselves
Juried Art Exhibit & Performances by artists with disabilities

The 6th annual CORE exhibit is brought to you by Arts & Services for Disabled, Inc. and the National Arts and Disability Center of UCLA. In its 6th year, CORE continues to extend its reach to artists nationally and worldwide. The exhibit showcases artwork, literature, and performances by artists with disabilities with the purpose of providing a space for artists, community members, and arts and disability advocates to build common bonds and promote visibility through a diverse art forum.

The online application for the 2010 CalArts Community Arts Partnership Summer Arts Program (CAPSA) is now available! Apply online at www.calarts.edu/cap. Or request a printed application to cfragoza@calarts.edu. Applications are due by June 1.
The CalArts CAP Summer Arts Program is a FREE, intensive, 3-week arts program for high school students that are serious about their art. We offer music, dance, creative writing, visual arts, and film/video classes taught by CalArts faculty and students.

a set of four World Listening Project-themed Framework: Afield episodes.
