The Skirball Cultural Center is seeking an independent contractor to
oversee daily programs for families presented in the Skirball's
drop-in art studio.
Time frame:
The contract covers art studio programs from June 21 to September 11,
2011.
Applicants must be able to work 6-8 hour days—up to 35 hours per
week—each Tuesday through Saturday throughout this period, with the
possibility of occasional Sundays as well.
Responsibilities:
* Assist Family Programs staff with creation, coordination, and
implementation of drop-in art studio programs during the 2011
summer season.
* Run the drop-in studio program for the duration of the summer
season.
* Create daily signage, set up studio, and oversee volunteer and
intern studio assistants.
Son of Semele Ensemble is seeking applications for guest productions

The City of Anaheim is soliciting Statements of Qualification (SOQ) from artists interested in providing public art for ARTIC. The deadline for submission of SOQ's is July 1, 2011 at 4:00 pm. Artists interested in submitting an SOQ are encouraged to attend a Pre-Submittal Conference to be held at the City of Anaheim on May 18, 2011 at 1:00 pm or by joining the webcast conference. The City of Anaheim is seeking a variety of potential artwork(s) to be included in the ARTIC Project. Budgets for the proposed artworks can range from $100,000 to $900,000.
