Pepperdine University Center for the Arts in Malibu, CA is searching for a full-time Production Manager. The Production Manager is responsible for supervision of technical operations for the Center for the Arts, including communicating with internal and external production personnel, supervising crew, managing events, and serving as lead technician as needed. The person in this position is often the "manager on duty," responsible for implementing successful events without a great deal of direct supervision. The person in this position is responsible for working with guest artists and technicians to ensure high quality productions while maintaining a safe and pleasant working atmosphere for the student crew.
Gallery Educator – Exhibition Highlight Tours (part-time, on-call)
Overview
The Exhibition Highlights Tours program is staffed by a small group of professional educators on an on-call, part-time basis. Educators must be available for 2 – 3 shifts per week, including but not limited to weekends and Thursday evenings. Schedules vary with the museum's exhibition schedule -- when one MOCA location closes, the number of available shifts is reduced accordingly. Administrative support for the program is limited; educators are responsible for coordinating their schedules and communicating efficiently with administrative staff.

Southern California’s largest free music festival. The event taking place
Saturday, June 16, 2012 is poised for its biggest year yet with over 150 free
concerts and an estimated attendance of over 35,000.
Make Music Pasadena is in search for the best independent
artists to perform at the festival. All aspiring musicians from all musical
genres are encouraged to apply for an opportunity to play at MMP. Two
selected artists will receive $400 cash prize, a luxury hotel room, and much
more. With an expected attendance of nearly 35,000 people, this is a great
gig for any performing artist to showcase their talent.

A call for telematic performances for Deep Wireless Festival X, 1 May 2012
We are looking for individuals and ensembles from around the world to perform over the Internet on May 1st 2012 as part of the 10th anniversary of Deep Wireless, organized by New Adventures in Sound Art (Toronto).
The performances will be part of a webcasted six-hour-long, worldwide jam session, which will be coordinated from the music department at Concordia University in Montreal.
Performers are invited from everywhere around the world, as long as they have access to high-speed broadband Internet and do not mind performing at potentially strange hours of the day (or night).

An art competition was held in January 2012 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 21 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 39 different states. Overall, there were 1,219 entries that were judged for this art competition. Due to the volume of entries, the gallery decided to create 4 media categories and make awards for each, along with an Overall Category which was selected from the 4 media categories.
