Set Designer for Opera - Los Angeles Area

Center Stage Opera in Canoga Park is looking for a set designer for
their June 9-10 production of Rossini\'s The Barber of Seville.
This is in no way a traditional production. The opera is being set in
modern day as a reality television show -- a mixture of The Bachelor,
Real Housewives, and Jerry Springer. The set should be fairly simple and
minimal, but should clearly represent the concept. We have a camera
crew, complete with all video equipment (camera, boom, etc), that will
be onstage almost the entire time.
There is a stipend available for this position.
If you have resources or the ability yourself to fabricate the set (with
the participation and help of the Stage Director and other company
members), all the better! If not, please still email us.
