As the nights draw in and there's a definite nip to the air SoundFjord keep the summer momentum alive by introducing to their Educational Programme six quick-fire residencies (of one week) for artists working with sound (sound art, radio, writing, phonography, etc), starting 05 November 2012.
Dates for residencies: Residency One: 05-11 November; Residency Two: 12-18 November; Residency Three: 19-25 November; Residency Four: 26 Nov - 02 Dec; Residency Five: 03-09 December; Residency Six: 10-16 December.

Call for applications for the 2013 fellowships
The Kunststiftung Baden-Wuerttemberg is announcing an open call for applications for fellowships in the fields of fine art, music, literature and art criticism for 2013. Artists under the age of 35 who live in or were born in Baden-Wuerttemberg may apply. Fellowship awards of up to 10,000 EUR are made each year to individual grantees. In the year 2012 a total of twenty-four fellowships were awarded. Selection is made by specialized juries in each field.
In this one-day workshop, students will learn how to create a work of art using a particular technique. This course will include a brief lecture and an introduction to the subject and medium. All skill levels are welcome. (All materials and supplies are included in the fee)

In each of these 3-day workshops, students will learn the foundation of beginning/intermediate painting such as color theory, color mixing, and painting techniques. A focuz on texutre, value, and reflective qualities will also be emphasized. All skill levels are welcome. (All materials, supplies, and canvas are included in the fee)

Call For Entries
CollectLA of Los Angeles, announces a call to artists to apply for its upcoming inaugural art fair on February 16th & 17th, 2013.
It will take place downtown Los Angeles in the Penthouse Suite of the California Market Center which boasts 90,000 square feet of exhibition space. Approximately 350 artists will be selected to exhibit their work at CollectLA. Selected artists can either rent a 10’ x 10’ booth by themselves or share one with another artist of their choosing.
This art fair is the premier event for affordable art. Each artist must price their work between $50 and $2,500 with half their work priced below $1,000.
Responsibilities
The Board Liaison manages designated Board related events, ensuring
proper notice is provided, agendas are developed, material, including
confidential documents, is distributed appropriately, and meeting
minutes are reviewed by appropriate Board members or Senior Staff.
Event responsibilities comprise planning and coordinating quarterly
Board of Trustee meetings including the annual retreat. The incumbent
maintains related policy manuals, Board documents, and Trustee website
organization.

detail-oriented, proactive and experienced event manager professional to
join the new Grand Park team. Grand Park is a beautiful 12 acre public
park that adds spirit and vitality to downtown Los Angeles. The Park
stretches from The Music Center on the west to City Hall on the east.
