The Boyle Heights Community Youth Orchestra needs someone who is training (or trained) in Arts Administration and would like to help a grassroots music organization get off to a great start. We are an El Sisteme-inspired orchestra about eight months old and are now working with Community Partners with a 501C3. We need someone to handle online communications, phone calls, and general office/development work but who can also generate ideas about building our group in size and strength. Right now, we serve 45 students aged 6-12 on orchestral instruments and choral technique. If you are willing to volunteer 5-10 hours a week until our fundraising gets off the ground, then you might help create your own paid position!
