What about your personal yoga practice inspires your artwork, and likewise, what about your artistic practice inspires your yoga practice? Is your work inspired by the philosophy, the anatomy, the asana (poses), history, mythology, chakras?
This show will explore what happens when our yoga and artistic practices combine.

RELIEF PRINTMAKING

This course will introduce you to various methods of creating woodcut and linocut prints. This direct and versatile process is one of the oldest methods of printing. Learn how to prepare wood and linoleum blocks, carve images by hand, apply ink with rollers, and print by hand and on the press using oil based inks. Also covered will be methods for creating images with multiple blocks and colors, reduction printing, and alternative techniques.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its August 2013 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online. The theme for this art exhibition is “Botanicals” and artists were asked to apply to this competition in July by submitting their best botanical and floral art.
An art competition was held in July 2013 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 26 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 41 different states. Overall, there were 704 entries that were judged for this art competition.

Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC), a non-profit arts organization, has two opportunities for artists and community members in the South Bay/Harbor area.

This year at AGCC we are interested in the stories that are told within and around our community. Our Main Gallery space is dedicated to showcasing these stories. We are seeking artwork that contains strong narratives, ranging from issues of culture and identity to diversity and adversity.
