VIrtual Mirror - Sound
Giving space a voice
Architectural sound installation/intervention by Tao G. Vrhovec Sambolec
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Virtual Mirror - Sound is an architectural sound installation/intervention, which listens to ambient sound of a specific interior or exterior space, analyses it, and then tries to imitate and emit that sound back into the space. It can use the architecture as if it was an external ear (pinna), or it can listen directly to the space in between the walls.

November 14th festival to promote sale of fine art to be held in
downtown park, across from the historic Buenaventura Mission.
Event will be enclosed within elegant tenting. 10'x10' exhibit space
provided for artists.
9 AM-11AM VIP Reception: Viewing and presale for VIPs and buyers.
11 AM-6 PM Open to the public.
Up to 50 juried artists will showcase and sell their art during this
one-day festival. Local
musicians will perform on stage and food vendors will offer fabulous
appetizers and wine for guests.

Los Angeles Film Race 2009 | September 25-26, 2009
The Los Angeles Film Race will be challenging local filmmakers to create an original short film (4 minutes max) in just 24 hours from Friday, September 25th to Saturday, September 26th. All of the completed films will premiere for the public a few days later on the big screen at the Writers Boot Camp Screening Room and the best films will advance into a nationwide competition for over $40,000 in cash and prizes. The Ten Women Gallery, Venice, invites you to submit to our annual
Dia de Los Muertos Group Invitation Window Event.
This window will be up the entire month of Oct, with the opening
reception on Friday Oct 2nd, in conjunction with Abbot Kinney's very
popular First Friday art walk in which galleries and shops remain open
until 10. In recent months we have seen a huge uptick of visitors on
First Fridays, so your work will be seen by hundreds of people.
This is a juried show. Enter up to three pieces. If your work is
selected there is a $20 fee for inclusion in the show.
Selections are based on pieces which work best together and for which
we have proper space. If your pieces are not selected for this show we
will keep you in mind for shows in the future.
