Job Title: Arts Learning Intern
Location: Long Beach, CA
Stipend: $1500
Dates of Positions: January - May 2010
Expected hours: roughly 10 hours/week for 15-20 weeks
Summary of Position:
The Arts Learning Intern will assist in the planning of community events for the Arts Council for Long Beach. Additionally, the intern will provide general department support; assist with an online directory of arts and education providers; and perform other duties as assigned.

Created and hosted by Chris Voltaire (Octomom! the Musical)the new show is looking for sketch writers and actors and actresses to be contribute and be involved. We go into the studio next week. Looking for correspondents and people who want to get involved. Get in on the ground floor NOW!

THE SPRING EXHIBITION AT CHARLOTTENBORG IS RE-ARMING
A new vision featuring measures over a three-year period is to ensure the Spring Exhibition a position as the most important adjudicated open art exhibition in northern Europe by 2014. In 2010, the Spring Exhibition is taking the first two important steps towards realising this objective:
• A new, fast model for the work of the jury and a newly established Jury's Award are to ensure a higher quality in the submitted works of art
• A new section of the Spring Exhibition in 2010: 24/7 – art created for an online exhibition space to be presented in cooperation with DR.
Grants Manager, Los Angeles County Arts Commission
The Los Angeles County Arts Commission is seeking a full-time Grants Manager to support and manage $4.4 million in grant programs to increase the capacity of the arts sector. The full-time position will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the grantmaking process; conducting research to assess the qualities and needs of the arts sector in Los Angeles County; and implementing grant and technical assistance programs to address identified needs and realize strategies set forth by the Arts Commission.

This is a call for works of any length for trombone and electronics for
performance by trombonist Haim Avitsur in Montreal.
New York trombonist Haim Avitsur (see biography below) will be visiting
Montreal in February 2010 to give a workshop and concert at Concordia
University’s music department (electroacoustic studies). The concert
will take place on February 17th at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall and
a workshop on composing for instruments and electronics is scheduled on
the previous day.
We invite compositions of any length for trombone and electronics for
the concert. The electronics part may be fixed (“tape”) or live, in
which case the composer is to perform the electronics part. You may
submit completed pieces or shorter etude-like compositions.
