2010-11 WINTER PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM INFORMATION
On November 7, 2008, the Arts Commission launched the [Inside] the Ford
Winter Partnership Program. Recognizing that many Los Angeles
County-based theatre companies do not have permanent performance homes
and that the cost of producing theatrical works has become prohibitively
expensive in the area, the Arts Commission provides an opportunity for
theatre companies without a permanent performance venue to produce in

Exploring the Future of the Sonic Arts
We would like to invite you to take part in Sound, Sight, Space and Play
(SSSP) 2010, a conference for postgraduate students working in the creative
sonic arts, organised by postgraduate students of the Music Technology and
Innovation Research Centre (MTIRC), De Montfort University. The ideals of
this event are to stimulate co-operation and inspiration between
postgraduate students, across institutional boundaries, leading to new
perspectives on current works and research. We encourage submission of

Tonight as I peruse "What A Long Strange Trip It's Been (Twenty Years of Rolling Stone)", after having just finished Murakami's KAFKA ON THE SHORE, I am moved by the weight of recent history, reading interviews with John Lennon from 1971, Pete Townshend as he is creating Tommy, Michael Jackson in 1983. This is what I feel. The time is now.
This moment is a fulcrum, tipping what was/has been into what will be. As I sign off here I am going to sit and stretch out in the now. Within this space I will strive to create a drawing
or two.

Be part of a progressive City that recognizes public art as a vital
component to urban living.
Working closely with the Cultural Arts Administrator, you will gain
valuable, hands-on experience assisting with the coordination and
marketing of public and performance art projects, workshops and City
events. Some events/projects include (but are not limited to): "The Big
Read", Summer Sounds, Pride Month, the Cornerstone Theatre Project, and
the City's celebration of 25 years of cityhood.
Current enrollment at an accredited College or University and in good
standing is required (graduate student preferred). Flexible work
schedule is available which may include weekends and evenings. Hours
offered are approximately 20 hours per week. Pay rate is $12.41 - $15.06
per hour.
