CALL FOR ENTRIES - 2012 PROJECT

To coincide with the Olympics in London in 2012, Watermans is pleased to announce a unique opportunity to present a series of groundbreaking installations exploring interactivity and participation in New Media and Digital Art. Much New Media / Digital Art is increasingly aimed at interaction with the audience and artists are continuously exploring new ways of viewer participation.

Para/Site Art Space is a non-profit art space dedicated to providing a platform for contemporary art in Hong Kong, and for Hong Kong artists abroad. Over the past 14 years it has developed a strong reputation as one of Asia’s premier non-commercial galleries through local and international exhibitions, publications and its extensive network.

Para/Site is now accepting applications for an Executive Director/Curator to lead the organisation into its next phase of development. Our ideal candidate will be experienced in running a non-commercial arts organization and efficiently managing budgets and physical space to maximum effect.

Curatorial workshop: Towards Curating as a Critical Practice

We are pleased to launch an open call for applications for a curatorial workshop targeted at individuals who have started a career in contemporary art as curators, writers or critics. This workshop will be part of the 10 years of D.B. Mangelos Award program (YVAA network) and is aimed at starting a dialogue about contemporary artistic/curatorial practice in S/CEE region.

Artists early in their careers are invited to apply for a $5,000 award that includes a solo exhibition in the Projects Room at the gallery.

The Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (LAMAGA) Associates are pleased to announce the call for submissions for the Lorser Feitelson and Helen Lundeberg Feitelson Arts Fellowship Award. The Award was conceived by two seminal Los Angeles modernist painters, Lorser and Helen Lundeberg Feitelson, and friends to encourage young artists early in their careers by awarding grants to support their creative potential. The Award is offered with the generous support of the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery Associates (LAMAGA) in partnership with the Feitelson Foundation. For an application click here.
