Art Studio Coordinator
The Skirball Cultural Center seeks a part-time art studio coordinator to
develop and facilitate programs for families in the Skirball's
drop-in art studio. All programs presented in the art studio embody the
innovative sensibility and core values of the Skirball's interactive
destination Noah's Ark at the Skirball and the broader Cultural
Center, and serve its diverse and sizable corps of family visitors.
The Art Studio Coordinator reports to the Head of Family Programs.
Time frame:
The weekend art studio is open the last weekend of each month beginning
in January 2012, in addition to extended hours during winter, spring,
and summer breaks.
The part-time art studio coordinator position begins January 28-29 and
Special Editions Residency Program
The Lower East Side Printshop invites emerging artists of all disciplines to apply for the 2012 Special Editions Residency, a competitive residency program that allows emerging artists to create new work through exploration of printmaking. The Printshop offers an opportunity for artists to complete an important new body of work in collaboration with our experienced master printers, fully sponsored by the Printshop.
Residencies will take place for a period of three to six months, including production time, scheduled between February 2012 and February 2013. Projects must be well under way and ready for production by October 1, 2012.
THE JACK STRAW ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAMS offer established and emerging artists in diverse disciplines an opportunity to explore the creative use of sound in a professional atmosphere through residencies in our recording studios and participation in our various presentation programs. Artists may apply to only one program per year.

The Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles, seeks 8-10 puppetry
performances for a one-day Family Puppet Festival on Sunday, April 1,
2012. The Festival will feature a wide range of puppetry, from small
to large scale, utilizing diverse media, and drawing on a variety of
cultural traditions.
