The LA Gay & Lesbian Center is seeking youth of color between the ages of 18& 24 to be a part of a community theater project. We are hosting aninformational session for dancers, writers, actors, poets, spoken word artists,visual artists and stage crew. Open call will take place April 23rd from 6-9pm at the Davidson/Valentini Theater in The Village at EdGould Center 1125 North McCadden Place Los Angeles, CA 90038. Production willtake place first week in August with the possibility of future performances.
Atthe information session, you will have the opportunity to perform, but it is nota requirement.
Thisis a performance with a purpose. No one will be turned away.
Also seeking adult mentors to support youth in the process of writing, acting, dancing, creating music etc.

Create Now is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that transforms the lives of youth in need through arts mentoring and experiences. We are collaborating with a major health provider to supplement their theatre program.
Create Now seeks two Recycle Artists to teach four classes that will take place twice a week for two hours at a time, between June 10-June 24 at schools in Compton and North Hollywood. There will be 30 students ages 11-13 in each class. The goal is for the students to create unique cities out of recycled materials. Everything will be supplied.

Artist Bia Gayotto invites anyone who identifies as bicultural and/ or multicultural to participate in an interview and video shoot, which will culminate in a two-screen installation, juxtaposing settings and portraits. The result is intended to be a multilayered portrait of the greater Los Angeles area, mixing images of the city and its people with stories that reveal their sense of self and place in the world.

Job Summary
The Managing Director is responsible for the administrative and fiscal operations of the company.
He/she coordinates and oversees the day-to-day and overall company operations. The Managing Director is in charge of earned and contributed revenue streams, and supervises the accounting and bookkeeping functions of the theater. Also serves as the supervisor of all grantwriting activities and supervises all support staff.
