Storefront for Art and Architecture announces a call for proposals for WorldWide Storefront (WWSF), a new initiative to provide a simultaneous, multi-locus of alternative spaces around the globe and a digital platform for the expression and exchange of latent desires within contemporary art and architecture practices.

Title: Teaching Artist
Program: Public Art
Time Commitment: 16 hours + planning and prep

South of the Navy Yard Artists and the Green School are partnering up to
facilitate 4 teaching artist residencies. We are committed to directly
engaging The Green School students and the surrounding community with Public
Art residencies designed and implemented by working contemporary artists.
Purpose of Position: We seek experienced, innovative Teaching Artists with
an active contemporary public art practice for in- school, curriculum
integrated art residencies with High School students at The Green School.
Teaching Artists will work alongside Classroom Teachers providing arts

This season we will offer instruction in Relief Printmaking, Intro to Printmaking, an intro class to Monoprint, Intaglio, and Relief, Intro to Screenprinting for All, Solar Plate Etching, and Intro to Screenprinting for Visual Artists.
Our classes are appropriate for beginners, artists, and anyone interested in exploring new artmaking techniques. Instructors are accomplished artists and experienced master printers who offer technical expertise and creative advice to help turn your ideas into beautiful prints. All tools, basic materials, and additional free studio hours are included at no cost!
Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces a call for entries for the gallery’s 3rd Annual “Open” online art competition for the month of October 2013. The gallery would like for all 2D artists (including photography), regardless of where they reside to apply to this competition by submitting their best representational and non-representational art (no theme), for inclusion into the gallery’s November 2013 online Group Art Exhibition.

P.O.S.T. – People Organized for Spontaneous Transfers is looking for people who want to join an experimental game between Lisbon and Marseille. You do not have to live in one of the cities to participate!
Background: Currently located in Hollywood, California, LACE was
founded in 1978 by a group of thirteen artists, primarily from
the Chicano/Latino community and the Otis Art Institute. Steeped
in principles of grassroots community organizing and social
change, LACE has actively provided a platform for contemporary
arts dialogue. Advancing several generations of emerging,
under-recognized artists and experimental art forms, we have
presented over 5,000 artists, 3,000 exhibitions, programs and
produced numerous publications.
Responsibilities: The Executive Director (ED) serves as LACE's
chief operating officer and visionary, working with and reporting
to the Board of Directors. The ED administers and directs all
LACE programs, operations and policies and supervises the LACE
