CHANORTH is pleased to announce the jurors for the 2021-2022 Summer Residency Season. Each year, ChaNorth invites a cohort of jurors to review applications and make the recommendations for our finalists. This year we invited art professionals who are already part of ChaNorth extended art community either as visiting artists or resident artists. We are very grateful and fortunate to have these professionals helping us in 2021.

Denny Dimin Gallery seeks a Gallery Manager to manage day-to-day operations and assist the partners with exhibition planning and artist support. The position requires the candidate to excel in communication, organization, time management, and teamwork. The candidate should have an established knowledge and strong interest in the field of contemporary art and strong interpersonal skills.

Main responsibilities include:
Managing gallery workflow and ongoing projects between partners, employees and artists.
Provide administrative and sales support to the partners.
Spearhead research, outreach, and project management.

Additional responsibilities:
Manage gallery calendar, general email account, and email list.

Provincetown Community Compact Dune Shack Residencies open for 2021

The Provincetown Compact Compact announces 2021 dune shack residency applications are now open. The Compact is pleased to offer residencies for C-Scape and Fowler Dune Shacks in the Cape Cod National Seashore. Residencies are available April through November for the general public (Community Residencies). Residency applications may be found at thecompact.org/dune-shacks.html. Applications close January 15, 2021. Community residencies are open to all and are selected by lottery.

Let Me Be Frank
Episode 19 – Private Rituals

“Private Rituals” explores Frank’s use of private or secret rituals both within and outside of his public performances, and how they powerfully affect one another. He also describes the role of the artist in society, and the important tool that private ritual gives the artist to bring “new dreams, new myths, new visions into society”. This episode also includes the story of how Frank and Linda first met Barbara Golden, and a brand new episode of the animated series, “How to Handle an Anthropologist”.

The readings in this segment are by Barbara Golden and Linda Mac. Barbara Golden is a musician, composer, writer and artist, and member of many bands, including being a frequent member of Frank Moore’s Cherotic All-Star band, and frequent guest on his Shaman’s Den streaming video show. Linda Mac was Frank’s lover and partner in crime for almost 40 years, and produces the Let Me Be Frank series with Michael LaBash. Music by Barbara Golden, Frank Moore, Vinnie Spit Santino, Vinnie Corbo, and Tha Archivez.
