Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces a call for art for the gallery’s 5th Annual “Open” (No Theme) Juried Art Competition for the month of August 2015. The gallery invites online submission of all 2D and 3D art (including photography) from artists around the world for possible inclusion in Light Space & Time’s September 2015 online group art exhibition.
Light Space & Time encourages artists regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field to send the gallery their best interpretation of the “Open” theme submitting their best representational or non-representational art. There is no theme for this art competition. The deadline to apply to this art competition is August 27, 2015.
Lower East Side Printshop, New York, offers FREE year-long studio residencies for emerging artists. The application deadline is September 1, 2015 for residencies starting on October 1, 2015. The Keyholder Residency includes free 24/7 access to a large shared studio with printmaking facilities, $1,000 stipend, storage space and basic supplies, exhibition opportunities, educational programming, and support services. Artists from all disciplines are eligible: printmaking skills are recommended but not required, and basic instruction in printmaking and some Master Printer assistance is available at no cost. The theme for this art exhibition is “Figurative”. The “Figurative” theme was considered to be figures, forms and faces. The gallery accepted art on this subject that was either representational or abstract.
The gallery received submissions from 21 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 37 different states and the District of Columbia. Overall, there were 643 entries were judged for this art competition.
