my "Spontaneous Prose" response to a friend, and anyone else at large...
Maybe you were shocked because it is both Ugly Truth and Ugly Lie, and so ugly its beautiful...like Clockwork Orange...when it's fiction. But when it turns out reality, it's ugly again, and the polarities are everywhere inside of it, outside of it, the ugly and the beautiful, the truth and the lie, murder saves lives, saving lives murders, Body mutilation is better isn't nice when it extends to fetuses, but are the fetuses human yet? What I loved about Clockwork Orange is the diving deeply into evil, so much so, that it becomes art, diving so deep into the forbidden uncensored one can't help but be in awe of it. And yet, with fiction, not reality. So Schvarts is lauded when it's determined to be hoax, and then shunned when it's again reality. Yet her evil is legal. She didn't set out to prove terminating pregnancy evil, but ended up learning that it is and teaching a lot of pro-choice people it is. It didn't shock me, I think, because I still don't think it's evil. And I think if Armageddon is around the corner, hey we're all gonna die sometime, why not all together? Let Gaia recover from her malignant human infection, and we can come back in a few more eons...reincarnate into the new dinosaurs and cavemen of neo-evolution. But really, I don't wanna die. I fear pain, and especially that gruesome threat of burning to death, or being torn limb from limb. I know it's gonna be nirvana after that...but the minutes of torturous mutilation that the teens are thriving on these days, that will come on Armageddon throw me into denial of my mortality, and make me want to save the world. Gaia is proving her power with tsunamis and quakes and fires (I am invincible, I am I am I am) all her rage coming down, while the human dream still seems bent on popping out as many babes as possible to kick back in front of the TV popping pizza, bon bons, beer and antidepressants in the gullet without connecting any of it to imperialistic war blood killing, tortured animal blood slaughter. We are invincible, we are we are we are. And the college age girl, Schvarts, who grew up with the morning after pill advertised all day on the radio, didn't probably questions the history much or what kind of repressive, witch burning patriarchy women had to kiss the feet of for centuries till they finally inched themselves out of that Hell well and got their herb-lore and bodies back to give us, give Schvarts the reproductive freedom she takes for granted, too naive to really see its a loaded gun, but the ones who do think its evil have been shocked and enlightened by her naivete and she elevated to genius by some, and tossed in the dungeon by others, and dubbed village idiot by me...again to the full spectrum of polarities that show the yin and yang of everything I see today, And only the ugliness of the "record oil prices + food riots + flattening economy + inevitable peak water crisis = shit hitting fan" will bring any beauty back to Gaia's bleak true world of incessant lies.

She then engaged in a feud with campus officials, who disciplined her professors and conducted a scientific study to see if there was any "human blood" in her studio:

The issue remained highly contentious on campus, though at least one other Yale student took Dean Salovey to task for promising to encourage students to "challenge the unchallengeable" and then deal with the Shvarts situation in such a didactic fashion...

Ultimately, they threatened to flunk her out and wouldn't let her graduate until she submitted an alternate project...
